From 15 to 29 November, the third rotating exposition in the Czech pavilion will be devoted to Czech glass. Indeed, glass products have traditionally been one of the main attractions of the Czech and Czechoslovak expositions at the World Expo. The "Save the Oceans" exposition will present design glass works by the Czech company Crystal Caviar in the given period, and two more presentations of Czech glass manufacturers will take place in the Czech pavilion by the end of November.

Upon entering the Czech pavilion at the World Expo in Dubai, visitors will likely first be drawn to the light installation Golden Rain, designed by Maxim Velčovský for the Czech company Lasvit. The artistic concept of the luminaire design evokes the main theme of the Czech pavilion, which is the creation of water from air. The Golden Rain exposition thus suggests the illusion of water drops flowing down the luminaire from the roof of the pavilion to the entrance hall.

The Czech pavilion also features Vlastimil Beránek's "Venus", the largest polished glass sculpture in the world, and "Darkov Waves", as well as the glass sculpture "Lovers", which is located on the roof terrace of the Czech pavilion.

The third rotating exposition in the Czech pavilion features glass art exhibits by Pavel Baxa, Jaroslav Prošek and Ela Smrčková from Crystal Caviar. The "Save the Oceans" exposition presents unique glass exhibits partially covered with plastics, which are intended to draw attention to the impending ecological catastrophe caused by the pollution of the world's oceans.

The glass exhibits of the permanent and temporary expositions in the Czech pavilion are complemented by two presentation events focused on Czech glass producers. During the first of them on 18 November dedicated to Czech design, the Czech companies Lasvit, Crystal Caviar, Sans Souci, Glasio, IQ Structures and Subfossil Oak introduced themselves to the pavilion visitors and potential business partners.

During the second presentation event, which will be organised by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abu Dhabi on 24 November using a project to support economic diplomacy, other Czech glass producers will present themselves. "The Middle East has long been a promising area for Czech glass producers and many of them have already successfully entered this market," said Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Tlapa. "Besides our own presentation of Czech glassmakers' products within the Czech pavilion at EXPO, we have the ambition to further raise the profile of Czech glass producers by using the project to support economic diplomacy so that their participation in the World Expo is reflected in the strengthening of their position in markets throughout the region," he added.
