Starting form Ocrober 1, 2023, Koněvova street is renamed to Hartigova. ? You can find up-to-date info about support of integration for Ukrainian refugees in the “????? 11 ??? ???????” facebook group.

Free Time in the District / Community Life and Sports

We invite you to the Prague 11 branches of the municipal library! You can find two branches here: Chodov branch: Jírovcovo náměstí 1782/1; Opatov branch: Opatovská 1754/14. The library has long been much more than just a place to borrow books; it’s a space where lots of cultural and educational activities take place (language courses, a book club, theatres, concerts, conversations with interesting people or art workshops) . ? The Opatov branch of the municipal library offers an “Art club”. The club is open to all children over the age of 5. The art club at the library is a nice place to do arts, chat and meet new friends. Prague 11 with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and mainly in cooperation with the Evangelical Church of John Milíč of Kroměříž (Donovalská 53) organizes regular community get-togethers “We’ll eat what we cook”. Kulturní Jižní Město invites you to the traditional event “Games without boarders”, which will take place on Saturday 11.11. 2023 at KC Zahrada (Malenická 2, Prague 11). It will be a nice day with a fairy tale and arts and crafts. There will be an art workshop prepared for kids. Do you know what will happen if you don’t put the address on a letter? In The Postman’s Tale you will look at an old post-office together with Mr. Kolbaba; at night you’ll meet the post office gnomes, and you’ll travel across the country because of a letter without an address. You are cordially invited, the event is free of charge. KC Zahrada has a lovely outside space, suitable for the whole family. ? Two outdoors ping pong tables where added to the Kosmická - Horčičkova atrium yesterday. They were installed by the Environmental Department as part of a planned redesign. Come over to play some ping pong! ? Works by classics of Czech graphic arts Vladimír Suchánek, Pavel Sukdolák, and Jiří Šalamoun will be presented at the exhibition at Chodov fortress. Each of these outstanding illustrators has created dozens of illustrations both for children’s books and grownup books. Chodov fortress, Ledvinova 9/86, Prague 11. Prague City Gallery (GHMP) offers entry to all exhibitions for 1 CZK for Ukrainian citizens. They also organize side events and educational programs for children and grownups free of charge with possible interpreting into Ukrainian. There are lots of events offered: concerts, tours, story reading, art workshops for kids and grownups. Don’t hesitate to have a look at the program and come have a look at interesting and beautiful places around Prague: ghmp.cz/ghmp-ukrajine. The events are free of charge and open to everyone. ? The tutoring is free of charge and you don’t need to register in advance, just come and see.
