Volkswagen AG: Nomination Committee of the Supervisory Board proposes Hans Dieter Pötsch for re-election
Wolfsburg. The Nomination Committee of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft on Friday proposed the current Chairman of the Board, Hans Dieter Pötsch, for re-election. This proposal will be submitted to the Supervisory Board at its upcoming meeting and subsequently put before the shareholders for a vote at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 18 June of this year.
Hans Dieter Pötsch has served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft since October 2015. He was born on March 28, 1951, in Traun, Austria. From 1973 to 1979, he studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Starting in 1979, he worked in Controlling at BMW AG in Munich, before taking over the leadership of BMW AG’s Controlling department in 1984, a position he held until 1987. From 1987 to 1991, he served as Managing Director of Finance & Administration at Trumpf GmbH & Co. KG. From 1991 to 1995, he was CEO of Traub AG, and from 1995 to 2002, CEO of Dürr AG.
From 2003 to 2015, he served as Group Board Member for Finance & Controlling at Volkswagen AG.
