Commission clears acquisition of the Dahl Group operations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden by Kesko

The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control of the Dahl Group operations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden by Kesko Oyj (‘Kesko') of Finland.

The transaction relates primarily to the technical distribution of installation products in the civil engineering, electrical, as well as heating, plumbing, sanitary, air conditioning and refrigeration (‘HEPAC') sectors.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the companies' limited combined market position resulting from the proposed transaction. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
