“Prices in industry increased both month-on-month and year-on-year. They went up by 0.3% month-on-month and by 1.6% year-on-year. Year-on-year growth was also recorded in construction work prices by 4.5% and service producer prices in the business sphere by 2.8%. Vice versa, prices in agriculture continued in year-on-year decrease, by 13%,” noted Vladimir Klimes, head of Industrial and International Trade Prices Statistics Unit of CZSO.

Agricultural producer prices decreased by 1.3% m-o-m. Falling were prices of potatoes (-25.1%), eggs (‑8.3%), pigs for slaughter (-4.6%), cattle for slaughter (-3.8%), fresh vegetables (-1.2%) and milk (-0.6%). Growth was recorded in prices of poultry (+2.7%) and oilseeds (+1.2%). Y-o-y, agricultural producer prices decreased by 13.0% (-13.5% in June). In crop production, prices fell by 8.1%. Lower were prices of cereals (-13.4%), fresh vegetables (_-1.7%) and oilseeds (-1.3%). Rising were prices of potatoes (+1.3%) and fruit (+4.6%). In animal production, prices dropped by 18.1%. Prices went down for pigs for slaughter (‑27.5%), milk (‑26.7%), cattle for slaughter (-3.9%) and eggs (-1.6%). Increase occurred in prices of poultry (+3.7%).

Prices of industrial producers rose by 0.3% m-o-m. Prices increased markedly in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’. Higher were prices in ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’ (+0.7%), ‘basic metals’ (+1.2%) and ‘paper and paper products’ (+1.4%). Lower were prices in ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (-3.0%). Prices went down in ‘food products’ (-0.4%). Thereof prices decreased in ‘preserved meat and meat products’ (-1.4%) and ‘dairy products’ (-0.4%). Prices of industrial producers increased by 1.6% y-o-y (+1.3% in June). Prices grew significantly in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’. Higher were prices in ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (+14.5%), ‘rubber and plastic products’ (+5.7%) and ‘other non-metallic mineral products’ (+4.0%). Prices went down in ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’ (-3.9%). Prices fell in ‘food products’ (-5.6%), thereof lower were prices in ‘dairy products’ (-15.1%) and ‘preserved meat and meat products’ (-7.2%). On the decrease were also prices in ‘motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers’ (-1.2%), thereof ‘parts and accessories for motor vehicles’ (-1.9%). Among the main industrial groupings, prices of ‘intermediate goods’ (+4.4%) and ‘energy’ (+2.2%) went up y-o-y. P rices of ‘non-durable consumer goods’ (-2.9%) went down. Prices of industrial producers excluding energy were higher by 1.4% (like in June).

Construction work prices, as estimated, increased by 0.2% and prices of materials and products used in construction were higher by 0.1% m-o-m. According to the estimate, construction work prices rose by 4.5% y-o-y (+4.7% in June after updating). Prices of materials and products used in the construction grew by 6.9% y-o-y (+6.7% in June).

Service producer prices in the business sphere decreased by 1.8% m-o-m. Falling were prices of ‘programming and broadcasting services’ (-20.8%), ‘advertising and market research services’ (‑19.8%) and ‘motion picture, video and television programme production services, sound recording and music publishing’ (-8.2%). Prices went up for ‘services of head offices; management consulting services’ (+1.7%), ‘insurance, reinsurance and pension funding services, except compulsory social security’ (+1.2%), ‘information services’ (+0.9%) and ‘legal and accounting services’ (+0.3%). Service producer prices in the business sphere, excluding advertising services did not change. Service producer prices in the business sphere grew by 2.8% y-o-y (+3.2% in June). Prices rose for ‘advertising and market research services’ (+12.7%), ‘employment services’ (+10.1%), ‘information services’ (+6.5%), ‘security and investigation services’ (+6.3%), ‘motion picture, video and television programme production services, sound recording and music publishing’ (+4.3%) and ‘insurance, reinsurance and pension funding services, except compulsory social security’ (+3.2%). Service producer prices in the business sphere, excluding advertising services, increased by 2.1% (+2.2% in June).

Industrial producer prices in the EU – June 2026 (preliminary data)

According to the Eurostat News Releases, industrial producer prices decreased in June by 0.2% in EU27 (in May they rose by 0.2%), m-o-m. The largest monthly decreases were recorded in Lithuania (-1.7%), Ireland (-1.5%), Bulgaria and Greece (-1.3% both). Prices were lower in Czechia (-0.4%), Germany (-0.3%), Austria (-0.1%) and remained stable in Poland. The highest increases were observed in Slovakia (+1.1%), Romania (+1.0%) and Estonia (+0.9%). Industrial producer prices went up in June by 4.7% (in May they grew by 5.7%) in EU27, y-o-y. The highest annual increases were recorded in Bulgaria (+18.2%), Romania (+14.3%) and Ireland (+11.4%). Prices were higher in Slovakia (+3.7%), Austria and Poland (+2.4% both), Germany (+1.9%) and Czechia (+1.3%). The only decrease was observed in Luxembourg (-3.2%).
