We're currently watching a few storms in the Gulf, this morning (video)

9:30am ET Update - We're currently watching a few storms in the Gulf, this morning. A few could be strong as they near coastal Dixie and counties south of there outside our forecast area, but these are expected to remain south of the area. For the rest of today, there still remains a very isolated severe risk for the later part of today and into the evening with the greater threat being confined to the southeast part of our forecast area (yellow area that that denotes a "slight" level 2 of 5 risk of severe weather). Cloudy conditions will limit the threat of redevelopment of storms, but it's possible to see isolated showers and storms redevelop later today with storms possibly gaining some greater organization later tonight across the extreme southeast Big Bend.

Main concerns through the next few hours will be gusty winds as a wake low moves in from the west. Occasional 30 to 50 mph non-thunderstorm wind gusts are possible through the late morning hours, most likely along the coastal areas, and we have seen a few of these gusts to our west in the Panhandle this morning.
