Following several coronal mass ejections (CMEs) on Nov. 27 and 28, we are now predicting a strong (G3) Geomagnetic Storm , and have issued a Geomagnetic Storm Watch beginning 00 UTC Friday (7pm EST Thursday)

Following several coronal mass ejections (CMEs) on Nov. 27 and 28, we are now predicting a strong (G3) Geomagnetic Storm , and have issued a Geomagnetic Storm Watch beginning 00 UTC Friday (7pm EST Thursday). The magnitude of this event is expected to bring Auroras that may be visible as far south as Illinois and Oregon Thursday night into the early Friday morning hours.
