Hurricane Lee continues to track west-northwest with its core expected to move well north of the northern Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico this weekend and early next week. However, dangerous surf and life-threatening rip currents will affect portions of Puerto Rico, USVI this weekend and will spread westward and northward along the Southeast and East Coast States later this weekend and most of next week. Isolated incidences of flash flooding and severe weather are possible along the central Appalachians, eastern seaboard, areas of the western High Plains and portions of Texas this weekend. Dangerous heat lingers for southern Arizona and southern California this weekend, including areas of central and southern Texas.
