The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo accepts all types of visa applications

The Embassy accepts all type of the long term visa and long term residence permit as well as Schengen visa visa including „tourism“, „medical stay“ or „visiting friends“ etc. The Embassy keeps its hygienic rules.
All applicants are requested to enter the Embassy with a facemask. Bodily temperature may be measured. We therefore ask for applicants´ cooperation in observing hygienic rules when visiting the consulate. Applicants will be required to use hands´ disinfection, wear face masks and maintain at least 2 meters distance. The number of applicants who can simultaneously enter the consulate premises will be limited.
Making an appointment is strictly possible by mean of the e-mail adress consulate_cairo@mzv.cz (EU Family members ONLY!) and schengen_visa@mzv.cz (other schengen visa requests). Long term visa appointments are made by mean of visa_cairo@mzv.cz. In case of late arrival of the applicant, the date of the appointment will be cancelled and new appointment by the ordinary procedures has to be made. Alternate dates are not accepted unless the applicant make a new appointment according the ordinary procedures.

Foreign nationals are kindly requested to check the conditions of entry to the Czech Republic before their travel.
As part of the measures to contain the spreading of COVID-19, individual Schengen States have introduced travel restrictions, including at certain borders between those states.
All travelers are responsible for verifying the travel restrictions in place before departure. Holders of Schengen visas are not automatically entitled to enter the Schengen area but must respect the travel restrictions in place.
