Travelling to the Czech Republic from Albania

Since September 6, 2021, Albania belongs to very high risk countries (dark red).

As of December 27th, 2021, the rules for entry into the Czech Republic will be tightened

 the protective measure of the Ministry of Health valid from 27.12.2021

Foreign nationals travelling to the Czech Republic will have to present a negative PCR test result before the travel. This obligation applies also to vaccinated persons and persons who recovered from COVID-19 in the last six months. It applies to travels from all countries regardless of the level of risk of the COVID-19 transmission. Persons who are not vaccinated or who did not recover from COVID-19 in the last six months, have to undergo a PCR test between 5th and 7th day after arrival. This requirement does not apply to persons vaccinated with the COVID booster shot, children under 12and children in the age group 12-18 years who are fully vaccinated (booster shot not required). Other exceptions are specified in the protective measure

!!! Persons who are fully vaccinated with one of the EU approved vaccines can arrive in the Czech Republic with no additional requirements for any purpose. They only have to fill in an arrival form and present the vaccination certificate. See ENTRY RULES to CZE .

Non-vaccinated third-country nationals, who do not have any residence permit issued by the Czech Republic or long-term or permanent residence permit issued by other EU+ country, or who are not residents of countries with a low risk, are allowed to enter the Czech Republic only in case of essential travel. There are several exceptions from this ban .

Access to Accommodation and Services with Vaccination or Recovery Certificate Only

If allowed to enter the Czech Republic, travellers from Albania, before they travel to the Czech Republic, must: (valid from 27.10.2021 until 26.12.2021)

1. Fill in an arrival form

NON-VACCINATED TRAVELLERS MUST AS WELL:

2. Undergo a PCR test (no more than 72 hours) before the beginning of the trip and have a written confirmation of the result.

3. Between 5th and 7th day after arrival in the Czech Republic to undergo a PCR test (from October 27, 2021). Until obtatining results, it is obligatory to wear a respirator outside of the accomodation.

 

There are exceptions from tests for persons who have been inoculated or have passed covid-19. There are, however, no exceptions on filling in the arrival form.

Children under 12 years of age are exempted from tests and arrival form. More information on the exceptions also for other categories can be found here.
